People of Color & Immigrants

Let's face it: It's not easy being a person of color or an immigrant in America. You may encounter subtle racism in the workplace despite your professional capabilities. Or maybe you struggle to satisfy both individual needs and the cultural expectations from your family or community. It can feel impossible to get ahead when you have to deal with family conflicts, identity crisis, and misunderstandings.

Though each person's experiences are unique, I feel deep empathy for the challenges you face as a fellow member in the immigrant/ethnic minority community. By integrating personal experiences and years of professional interactions with diverse patients, I can provide validation and support to you, as well as honest feedback about how to navigate this journey. I strive to help you improve your mood and productivity, while making healthy connections with your loved ones.

In addition to individual therapy, I also offer counseling to couples where one or both partners are culturally diverse. I recognize that understanding and harmony often begin with our significant others. If you and your partner would like to explore cultural differences and enrich your relationship dynamics, please feel free to inquire for details.
